PermaTrak North America is a company specializing in providing concrete and wooden boardwalks designed to last. Their work is designed for flexibility, easy installation, and long term durability. PermaTrak Designs are a cost effective alternative to traditional wood or manufactured lumber construction and require no maintenance over time.
This company is also known for engineering eco- friendly boardwalks by utilizing recyclable materials, permeable surfaces, solar reflection, regional materials, zero/ minimal habitat destruction, and no carbon emissions. These aspects make PermaTrak an excellent model for our capstone design team. Their website provides drawings and detailed renderings of their past work with detailed descriptions of the subject matter. This website provides a library of information that our group should take advantage of learning from. Also, coming soon to the website is a virtual boardwalk builder allowing anyone to list a set of limits and specifications and then automatically rendering images of what it might look like. This tool might also be very beneficial for our team to utilize once it becomes available.
